The long wait for fans of Aditya Dhar’s high-octane espionage world is nearly over. Following the massive success of the first film in 2025, which grossed over ₹1,300 crore worldwide, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set for a global theatrical release on 19 March 2026.
The Return of Jaskirat Singh Rangi
Ranveer Singh returns in a much darker, "beast mode" avatar, reprising his role as R&AW agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi. While the first film saw him infiltrating Karachi's criminal underworld as "Hamza," the sequel promises to delve into his backstory, showing the personal tragedy that forged him into a lethal operative. The recently released trailer has already gone viral, particularly for Ranveer's chilling declaration: "Pakistan ka mustakbil ab Hindustan tay karega" (India will now decide Pakistan's future).
A Powerhouse Ensemble
The sequel expands the stakes with a star-studded cast:
Sanjay Dutt: Returns as the no-nonsense SP Chaudhary Aslam.
R. Madhavan: Portrays Ajay Sanyal, the strategist guiding the mission.
Arjun Rampal: Plays the primary antagonist, the calculating ISI Major Iqbal.
Akshaye Khanna: Appears in key flashback sequences as Rehman Dakait.
Sara Arjun: Joins as Yalina, a character central to the film’s emotional core.
Yami Gautam: Rumoured for a significant cameo, having already reviewed the film as "beyond extraordinary".
A Wider, Solo Release
Unlike its predecessor, Dhurandhar 2 is being released as a pan-India film in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film originally faced a box-office clash with Yash’s Toxic, but with Toxic moving its release to June, Dhurandhar 2 now enjoys an undisputed solo window during the festive period of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid.
How to Watch Early
For those who cannot wait until the 19th, the makers have announced paid preview shows starting at 5:00 PM on 18 March 2026. Advance bookings are already live on platforms like BookMyShow and Paytm, with some premium tickets in major metros already reaching up to ₹2,400 due to unprecedented demand.
